Welcome, Bienvenu, اهلاً وسهلاً
Mover. Shaker. Creator. Educator
Welcome to my Teacher Website and Graphic Design Portfolio.
My Name is Nassab Ahmadie

I’m thrilled to invite you to peruse my past work, design skills, and professional experience,
while getting to know a bit more about me.
My journey into the world of education, particularly middle school, has been profoundly shaped by my personal experiences, cultural heritage, and professional aspirations. Born in Lebanon, my early years were marked by the harsh realities of war. Witnessing the destructive power of conflict and the resilience of those who survived it instilled in me a deep determination and a curious spirit to explore a multitude of interests, careers, and hobbies. What has endured, as my children often remind me, is the power and message of education and a deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve, make a difference, and change lives for the better.

My path to becoming a middle school teacher was not straightforward; it took several unexpected turns. Initially, I pursued a career in biology that was driven by a strong interest in medicine. However, a shift in my journey led me down the path of graphic design, where I spent a significant portion of my career. By a twist of fate, I found myself substituting in a middle school, and as I immersed myself in this often-misunderstood environment, I realized that my true passion lay in sharing knowledge rather than solely acquiring it. I discovered immense satisfaction in helping others grasp complex concepts, whether in biology, art, or any other subject. I chose to focus on middle school students deliberately, recognizing that this stage of development is critical as students begin to form their identities and make sense of the world around them.

My love for teaching was further solidified through my experiences of working with students who had limited exposure to different cultural backgrounds. I made it my mission to broaden my students' horizons by introducing them to international cultures and histories, helping them understand the world beyond their immediate surroundings. By integrating global perspectives into my curriculum, I aim to foster empathy, curiosity, and a sense of interconnectedness among my students.

Today, as both a mother and an educator, I am committed to helping students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world. This includes fostering an appreciation for diverse cultures, histories, and perspectives, as well as encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and self-reflection. My goal is to empower my students to become lifelong learners who are not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and engaged global citizens.
This past year, I had the opportunity to extend that vision by working with high school students, and I found myself deeply enjoying the chance to engage with them at a different level. While their challenges and perspectives were distinct from those of middle schoolers, the heart of the work remained the same: teaching art through the lens of global culture and guiding them to see art history not as something distant, but as a living force that shapes today’s society. As we stand at the crossroads of technology and creativity, where artificial intelligence is redefining how we think and create, I believe it is more crucial than ever to help students see the timeless connections between past and present. Whether in middle school or high school, the pioneering spirit of curiosity, creativity, and discovery is the same, and it is this spirit that I hope to nurture in every student I teach.
